Carbon Footprint

What is a Carbon Footprint?

A carbon footprint is “the total set of GHG (greenhouse gas) emissions caused directly and indirectly by an individual, organization, event or product”. -UK Carbon Trust 2008

Why is it important to calculate your Carbon Footprint?

It is important to be aware of your direct impact on the enviroment.  A carbon footprint calculator gives you quantifiable metrics by which to set goals and measure your progress.  It also helps you identify areas where green improvements can be made.
