PER THE OPERATOR’S MANUAL FOR 2340, 2475, 2545, 7100, 15T & 3000 TWO-STAGE RECIPROCATING AIR COMPRESSORS:

Electrical components should be rated NEMA 4 or better (including Motor), unless the electrical components of the unit are specially protected for outdoor use, do not install an electric motor unit outdoors or in an area that will expose the electrical components to rain, snow or sources of appreciable moisture.
