Application Overview

Solutions to Your Common Issues

  • Moisture: Did you know that over a summer month, you’ll have to remove at least 150 gallons of unwanted moisture in your air system due to high temperatures? Moisture wreaks havoc on your equipment and beer, leading to unplanned downtime and unwanted waste. Excess moisture in your air system can throw off crucial pH levels, grow bacteria, lead to corrosion in piping and various compressor issues. To solve your moisture issues, you should invest in refrigerated dryer. Having a refrigerated dryer installed to your system will clean up your lines and keep your brewing operations running efficiently. A refrigerated dryer is the standard choice if you are looking for a low maintenance solution.
  • Food Contact: Customers consume your product, so that means you want it to not only taste good, but be safe. When beverage are in-direct contact with air, is crucial to use a Food Grade Lubricant. Ultra FG Lubricant includes antimicrobial additives that prevent the growth of established yeast, mold and bacteria throughout your compressor system.
  • Canning & Bottling: During your bottling and canning process, does it seem like your compressor is working too hard? If so, you may need to upgrade to a compressor that can push out air at a higher CFM, such as a Oil-Flooded Rotary Screw Air Compressor. Keep in mind, canning and bottling requires pressure higher than 140, which means that you should plan for a pressure that is slightly higher. Having too small of an air compressor running constantly will eventually lead to it burning out, putting you and your brewing operation at a stand-still until it's replaced.
  • Environmental Concern: A constantly loud running air compressor and lubricants leaking into your beer are not great both for the environment and your brewing process. Our R-Series 4-11 kW Rotary Screw Air Compressor is so quiet with the panel on it, that you are able to stand next to it and have a conversation. Our PolySep Oil Water Separator will effectively separate and permanently adsorb all lubricants, including highly emulsified lubricants like polyglycols, the most difficult lubricants to separate.
  • Compressed Air Transmission: To get your compressed air from point A to point B (leak-free) can be easy, if you invest in the correct piping. Our SimplAir Piping uses marine-grade aluminium pipes to efficiently distribute leak-free supplies of high-flow compressed air and other inert gasses and support vacuum systems as well. For lower cost, higher performance, easier installation, and less maintenance than systems made of competing materials, the Simplair piping system is the best choice.
  • Servicability: Don't get caught on unplanned downtime or find yourself constantly purchasing a new compressor. If keeping your brewery up and running efficiently as possible is a goal, we have you covered. Ingersoll Rand takes pride in producing and distributing compressors with parts that are easy to maintain and replaced by yourself. To ensure that you have the proper replacements parts, we offer a PARTSCare™ program that entitles you to receive genuine OEM parts. PartsCARE™ includes either automated shipments or reminders to ensure you have met your requirements to keep your compressor operating as efficiently as possible.
