Transvac Systems Ltd is a UK-based engineering company specialising in the design, manufacture, testing and application of advanced ejector technologies. Established over 50 years ago, Transvac has evolved from traditional steam ejector systems into a recognised leader in liquid-driven and high-pressure gas ejectors for gas compression, recovery and energy-efficient process applications.

Today, Transvac supports global operators, EPCs and technology partners across energy, utilities, nuclear and emerging clean-fuel markets with custom-engineered ejector solutions designed to solve complex, high-value process challenges.

Transvac Ejectors

Proven Engineering, Not Catalogue Products

Transvac ejectors are engineered from first principles, not selected from standard product ranges. Each solution is tailored to the client’s specific process conditions, fluid properties, pressure envelope and operating philosophy.

This approach underpins Transvac’s long-standing reputation for:

  • Predictable, guaranteed performance
  • Robust operation in challenging services
  • Solutions that cannot be delivered using conventional ejector or mechanical compression technologies

Product & Technology Portfolio

Evolution from Traditional Steam Ejectors

Transvac has a long heritage in steam jet ejectors and vacuum systems, historically supplying multi-stage steam ejectors for low-pressure vacuum duties across process industries. While this capability remains within the company’s portfolio, it represents Transvac’s traditional product base, rather than its primary focus today.

Many ejector suppliers remain centred on steam-driven vacuum technology. Transvac has deliberately moved beyond this space.

Core Differentiation – Liquid-Driven & Gas Ejectors

Over the past 15+ years, Transvac has invested heavily in the development of advanced liquid- and gas-driven ejectorsfor demanding applications where conventional approaches are not viable.

Key technology areas include:

  • Liquid-Driven Ejectors for Gas Compression : Using high-pressure liquid to entrain and compress low-pressure gas streams to elevated discharge pressures. These systems are widely deployed in flare gas recovery, vent gas recovery and vapour recovery, offering a simple, reliable and low-maintenance alternative to mechanical compressors.
  • High-Pressure Gas-Driven Ejectors : Purpose-designed ejectors operating at elevated motive and discharge pressures for gas boosting, entrainment and recovery services. These designs require exceptional control of internal geometry, concentricity and materials — a core Transvac strength.
  • Multiphase & Specialist Ejector Applications : Solutions engineered to handle mixed gas/liquid streams, variable compositions and transient operating conditions, often integrated into complex process recovery systems.
  • Universal & Modular Ejector Designs : Ejectors designed with adaptability in mind, allowing internals to be modified or upgraded as process conditions evolve, extending asset life and reducing lifecycle cost.

Fully Integrated & Packaged Systems

Transvac designs and supplies complete, skid-mounted ejector systems, integrating ejectors with piping, instrumentation, control valves and structural frames.

Packaged solutions are routinely delivered for:

  • Flare Gas Recovery systems
  • Desalination and water treatment facilities
  • Energy transition and clean-fuel projects
  • Nuclear and specialist industrial applications

Systems are engineered for reliable operation in harsh onshore and offshore environments and are designed to integrate seamlessly with existing plant infrastructure.

Materials, Manufacturing & Quality

All Transvac equipment is designed and manufactured in the UK, with in-house control of:

  • Process and mechanical design
  • Precision machining of critical ejector components
  • Fabrication, assembly and inspection

This control is essential for high-performance liquid- and gas-driven ejectors, where small geometric deviations can significantly impact performance. Materials range from carbon and stainless steels through to duplex, super duplex and specialist alloys for corrosive or high-pressure duties.

R&D, Testing & Performance Assurance

A defining feature of Transvac’s capability is its dedicated ejector R&D and test facility. The facility enables full-scale performance testing of liquid- and gas-driven ejectors under representative operating conditions, including multiphase services.

This capability allows Transvac to:

  • Validate and optimise designs prior to shipment
  • De-risk complex or novel applications
  • Provide performance assurance and guarantees

Environmental Stewardship & Energy Efficiency

Transvac ejector technology directly supports emissions reduction and energy efficiency. By enabling recovery and reuse of low-pressure gases — particularly in flare gas recovery applications — Transvac solutions help operators reduce flaring, lower greenhouse gas emissions and recover valuable hydrocarbons.

Transvac is also supporting the latest in modular nuclear reactor technology, clean hydrogen, and CCUS projects globally.

Ejectors contain no moving parts, delivering high reliability, low maintenance and long operating life, aligned with sustainability and lifecycle efficiency goals.

Applications & Markets Served

Transvac ejector systems are deployed globally across:

  • Oil & Gas (flare gas recovery, vent gas compression)
  • Desalination and water treatment
  • Nuclear and clean fuels development
  • Energy transition and low-carbon technologies
